Emily is a Watsi writing volunteer. She's written over 50 patient profiles since she started last June.
"I am continually inspired by Watsi, and am so fortunate to be working with an organization that sees the power and potential that individual connection has," she tells us.
"I am studying anthropology and public policy at UC Berkeley and aspire to be part of foundational/nonprofit work as a career. I am a strong believer in the power of conversation, relationships, and networks to foster opportunities for individuals to better their lives as they choose."
"I ran a nonprofit organization that engages youth to find hands on solutions to areas of need in their community. We reached out primarily to local homeless, abused women, and foster children and I was continually blown away by the power of one individual. One conversation can spark so many ideas for problem solving, connections are cemented, and opportunities for solutions arise."
Volunteers like Emily keep Watsi up and running. Check out all Watsi volunteers here.
