We're looking for a summer intern to use their writing skills to change lives.
Watsi is a non-profit organization based in San Francisco that allows donors to fund life-changing healthcare for patients around the world. We believe in the power of storytelling to connect people.
We're looking for an intern to join us in our San Francisco office 1-2 days per week this summer to edit and publish patient stories. You must be a strong writer, and basic understanding of medical terminology is a plus.
Please note that this position is highly writing-intensive, and ideal candidates are comfortable with, and have prior experience in, content curation and editing. Priority will be given to applicants with a background in the humanities, or a joint science/humanities focus.
Details:
- Applications accepted on a rolling basis, with the intent to start June 2016
- This is a volunteer position, but we can work with your college/university to provide credit
- Free coffee + snacks + fun times with our small team
- Happy hours, professional development, and networking events will help you grow and connect with other writers, interns, and the Watsi team
Check out a few examples of our patient stories and updates here, here, and here.
