Looking to make a difference in the world? Love to write? We are looking for volunteer writers to join our team to help share our stories in 2023.
Watsi writers use information submitted by our partner hospitals to share stories about the patients who we impact around the world. These stories are posted on Watsi's website to introduce patients in need of surgery to potential supporters. Writers also help to share updates after treatment on the impact of access to healthcare for our patients. You can check out examples of patient stories here and here.
The best candidates will be writers with a passion for global health, storytelling, medicine, or tech for good. Familiarity with basic medical terminology is a plus.
We ask that volunteers commit to about 2-4 hours per week, but this time can be easily spread out over smaller intervals. We leverage a digital platform, so all volunteer activities are remote.
