Since Watsi partnered with Tencent last year, the Tencent community has raised over $100,000 to fund healthcare for 100 patients around the world!
The Tencent community has changed the lives of patients like Susan, from Tanzania, who was accidentally burned by boiling water in her family’s kitchen. Susan had a severe burn contracture on her elbow that prevented her from moving her arm.
When Susan’s family was unable to afford the treatment Susan needed, the Tencent community stepped in to help. Tencent donors raised $550 for a contracture release surgery to restore motion to Susan’s arm.
Susan’s surgery was a success, and she’s expected to fully recover.
“I am very thankful for the great financial support,“ Susan’s mother told us.
We are thrilled that as of this week, the Tencent community has fully funded life-changing healthcare for 100 patients, like Susan, around the world. We can’t wait to keep working with Tencent to continue spreading the health.
A huge thank you to the Tencent community!
