Meet Ella, one of our two summer writing interns working at Watsi this summer. Ella is a student at Stanford University. She is a prospective Neurobiology major on a pre-med track interested in integrating a humanities focus into her studies, perhaps through a minor in Bioethics or the German and Spanish languages. She is currently involved in undergraduate research in a lab specializing in developing novel therapies for Alzheimer’s and Huntington’s Disease. Having developed a passion for narrative medicine due to a lifelong love for writing, Ella is not only thrilled to work on augmenting cognizance of global health concerns, but also aspires to see herself involved in the development of solutions to disparities in healthcare accessibility. When she’s not working, Ella enjoys running, hiking, and eating copious amounts of ice cream.
