Dr. Tiffany Chao is a board-certified general/trauma surgeon and a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery (affiliated) at Stanford University School of Medicine.
In addition to her clinical work, she teaches two Stanford classes, Introduction to Global Health and Advanced Topics in Global Surgery. She is a faculty fellow with Stanford's Center for Innovation in Global Health, an Overseas Fellow of The College of Surgeons of East, Central, and Southern Africa, and an Extraordinary Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Global Surgery at Stellenbosch University in Cape Town, South Africa. She conducts research on the expansion of surgical delivery for low-income populations through surgical workforce and infrastructure development. She serves on the Editorial Board of the World Journal of Surgery.
Based in Silicon Valley, she is dedicated to advancing global healthcare accessibility and innovation. Dr. Chao has been part of the global Watsi community since 2017.
