What if we told you that your company's event tracking could help save lives?
Thanks to our new partnership with Segment, an analytics startup that helps companies make data actionable in nearly every tool imaginable, it's not just possible — it's simple.
Available today, our integration with Segment makes it easy for companies to automatically send a Watsi gift card to their customers when they take a specific action in their app.
Watsi gift cards let a company's customers choose individual patients to support — like Pan Thu, a student from Burma whose heart surgery was supported by a Segment gift card.
This is the first time we're opening up Watsi's API to everyone, and the first integration of its kind on Segment. However, it's not the first time we've teamed up with our friends at Segment. To date, Segment has donated over $50,000 to fund healthcare for more than 353 Watsi patients.
Esupat, a two-year-old girl from Tanzania, can walk today thanks to support from Segment.
This integration not only enables Segment to scale and automate their own giving program (during our beta of this integration, Segment triggered a $10 Watsi gift card every time someone took the feedback survey on their website), it empowers other companies to do the same.
New Relic, Zenefits, and Creative Market have already signed up to use the Segment Watsi integration as an inspiring way to encourage new sign ups, thank users for referring friends, and delight customers when they reach certain successful states.
Ready to get started?
Setting up your company's integration takes about 5 minutes, and we're here to help every step of the way. You’ll just have to create a Watsi account, enter your Watsi API credentials in Segment, and choose which event you’d like to trigger gift cards. You can also set custom donation amounts and write a message for your customers. Here are the docs that explain the process in more detail.
Create your company's Watsi account, and email connect@watsi.org for your API credentials.
Please tweet at @Watsi and @Segment when you’re all set up so we can help spread the word 😊
